What is Pedorthics?
ped-OR-thics: the design, manufacture,
modification, and fit of footwear & orthoses
What is a Pedorthist?
A Pedorthist is trained in the biomechanical
assessment of the lower limb, the fitting
and modification of foot orthoses, and the fitting and modifying of
footwear, all for
the purpose of alleviating painful or debilitating conditions and
providing assistance
for abnormalities or limited action of the lower limb.
